I am just over 2 weeks post my right full hip replacement and my experience with Mr Stafford and his clinical team has been so outstanding I feel it should be shared with others. The process from assessing when surgery would be required i.e. now or sometime in the future, to having the operation has all been very smooth and quick, he obviously has a very professional team around him. In terms of my surgery everything was explained in a really easy to understand language, and I felt I had the opportunity to ask any (and as many) questions I needed to prior to deciding to book the date for my operation. My surgery was completely trouble free and dare I say, nearly pain free. I have a couple of friends who have undergone the same procedure with different surgeons and they cannot believe 1) how well I have been post op (particularly the lack of pain), and 2) my initial mobility and the rate I have progressed. Having spoken to Mr Stafford today at my follow-up consultation it would appear my wellness post op is due to a number of factors, the majority being his approach to the surgery (limiting the amount of trauma in the operated area) and the treatment plan for each individual devised by him and his clinical team. I have learnt today, that 17 days after my surgery I am already 75% recovered, which to any sports person, that is music to your ears. That said, I have also contributed to my great progress by knowing my body well and only doing the right amount of rehab (with Mr Stafford’s team being available to guide me if I was unsure). I cannot thank Mr Stafford enough for his outstanding work and care for me as his patient, he is exceptional. I would highly recommend that anyone who needs a procedure that Mr Stafford deals with, to have a conversation with him prior to progressing with anyone else. Thank you so much Giles (and team).

we travelled 60 miles to attend a 12.20 appointment with Mr Stafford but due to no fault of our own hit heavy traffic on M25. We contacted Mr Stafford’s secretary (Diane) to inform her that we was running late and she thanked us, ten minutes later she called us in the car to inquiry how our travels were going and I informed her that we was only 5 miles away and she told us to continue. When we arrived (12.50 ) we was told that mr Stafford had left the building!!!!!!!! Is this how mr Stafford treats his clients ? Yes I fully appreciate that we was late but he didn’t even have the curtesy to contact us. Is this someone I would trust ? Would I want Mr Stafford to be my surgeon having shown no consideration towards us as potential clients ? Quite honestly I’m shocked, appalled and discusted and I will not be making a further appointment to see him.
